AN URBAN VILLAGE

Its an early morning,the time is 6am,cloud is clear and quite cold,the mist in trees
and fog, a perfect setting for an artist to paint an landscape,a man Guru raj sits
on a wooden log recently cut by developers and contractors of BMP,an govt agency to
widen the road,all the existing structure some 50 year old has been brought down to make the traffic flow easy on this ever increasing road in city that is ever growing
and always on look out for a land by govt to build infrastructure to woo investors from world over for good business opportunity , make strong our economic and promise job to all.

This so far is an story of happiness if everything is going fine as planned by our
not so good politicians,they are after all the ultimate power!!!,now the thin line
between the development and might of people like Gururaj, who owns an small house and
has been working with an MNC on a minimal wage,He has been told by the floor manager
that he go on leave with out pay and will be notified when he has to join duty next.
Its been 20 days long since he is been laid off the duty,and ever since he has been
sitting on this wooden log making it quite comfortable for himself and few of his
neighbor friend enjoying a cup of hot tea,the steam of tea is in fact helping them
to beat the cold,

Now this is what he has to say in his own words"I remember my father scolding when I first came here looking for a job and after struggling for year or so I got a job and now its almost 3 years I have been working
with this co,today they don't need me,with no fault of our we have been asked to leave,we get weekly wage from our contractor"Gururraj calls his wife Mala and orders
a fresh cup of tea,!and continue to narrate his story "I use to boldly go out and buy something for my child(he has one son somu)and my family was happy,but now I am
left with no regular income and things are becoming more worse and am thinking of
going back to my village,over here its worst than village,I would call this an urban
village."he light up an smoke and settles down to have his tea and offering me a cup.

When I asked him what about your child's education?he says"that is not a problem
cause I am putting him an govt school"the smoking continues"I feel ashamed of myself
for we have to share a meal of one among 3 of us,I stand in line of free milk
every morning,and every night before I go to sleep I have to plan for next day
not an business plan but to arrange for food."there is air of solidarity among others
who are also listening and are quite supportive,they say its the fate of many of us
we just got to live on LIKE WE LIVE IN VILLAGE,THIS NO LESS THAN A VILLAGE,ITS AN
"URBAN VILLAGE"

I happened to see the news channel yesterday while having My dinner,the news was
about a procession and people gathering at GATE WAY OF INDIA,near hotel taj,hundreds
of people had gathered to show their solidarity to the victims of recent terror
attack,people had lined up to light the candle while shouting enough is enough,this exactly what I had told in my earlier blog,that we should start an movement and make
all our politician aware that we cant take this anymore and would demand change!!,
change in your attitude,change in you system,change in people who wants the power
in center,change in your thinking and thoughts,change in your ideas of ruling the
largest democratic country in world.

Our PM has gone all out in signing the N deal with an idea of making INDIA super power,
but what about the internal security of your citizen,he has to bring in change for it.

Lalu Prasad Yadav was once hailed as super man of railways for bringing in change
in our only transport for common man,the railway of INDIA making it profitable
from being total loss sector,we have seen a lot of changes in making a railway
a more comfortable journey,but let me ask? what changes has he done for security
of its travelers and now this is very disturbing facts.

The Final Call!

Hello friends,

This is coming from non other than a heart of INDIAN,

Since the attack on Mumbai by terrorist,I have been flooded with many messages on my
cell,and still coming,showing all out solidarity and concern for the martyrdom,
a feeling of patriotism!has been taken over by all other priority in life of a
common man.

Enough is enough is the line of slogan being shouted every where,citizens of India
has now woken up and their feeling for fellow INDIAN has never been shown to this
extent,the gratitude and respect we show to commando and police officer who died during the terror attack and while combating the fight with external terrorist who
tried to do apart city like mumbai, which never sleeps,is outburst of sudden trauma
we are going through.

Why wake up now? what have we done and learned from the earlier attacks-the answer is
zero.our politician will never learn a lesson and still you will see them on tv
channel debating on issue which will never end and solved.but yes all the 24/7 channel will be telecasting their live shots and coverage to shoot up the trp.

I strongly feel we are all a stupid INDIAN!!!,Follow this line said be an veteran
actor in a film WEDNESDAY!,you will understand what I meant to say,however, we are
surely a little more soft than compared to other citizens of other country,this is no time to talk but to act and to act you should have an movement, an movement
which will pinch! like your father used to pinch you on your utter mistake and still
not bleed but you will have learnt your mistake.let our system maker know we exist and will not allow anybody to play with our lives.

So let us move ahead with our lives and work,but think twice before we bring in any
political party to rule our country and still not be accountable for the ruins of
TAJ! I mean Taj hotel for now.

Hi,

This is going to be a good news for the art lovers,who are looking for an
art piece to decor there walls in office and homes,this is an idea developed by
a friend of my who travels a lot through out INDIA, going places all over the
major city covering many villages and town,meeting people of different areas and
then turn his experience into an beautiful piece of art, it can be an art on canvas

Before I get carried over by this paintings and photo gallery,I must confess that
the whole of gallery is not only filled with solo art work of my friend,but he
has started an whole of art shop on line and has been promoting the art of lesser
known artist,who are very good at there work but lack proper platform,for simple
reason of affording the gallery to hold solo exhibition and no sponsors,.

This artists are from different city and villages,they may have never gone to school of art,or they might be just an student of art institute,coming from a lower
middle class family,many of them are those who are also pursuing art all against
wishes of there parent,who think that just being an artist they would not be able
to earn enough to feed them,as rightly said by Mr.Ashutosh"I come from a village in
gauhati near west Bengal,I am artist and have done many paintings but I hardly get
anything and more over people don't know me I have no place to sell my art,I find this
place as god's blessing now I have an opportunity to promote myself and my art
to people who loves art"

Road side tea stall

Hi,

We are facing recession and market is fluctuating,in this scenario one cannot
predict what is coming next,people are getting sacked,some MNC is even offering
an halfpaid leave for the employee who wants to do that extra work for society by
joining an NGO. Well all this we read in news paper what is reported in it.

So leaving all this aside I along with a friend thought of having a good cup of
tea on our return journey from a meeting with a client,which of course was quite
disappointing again due to recession and we were asked to stop supply of goods and
also to cut down the price of product we supply,this was quite bothering as our
40% of turn over is depended on it,so just to freshen up we were having an hot tea
on side of hosur road,and while doing this we happened to note that this tea stall
owner was doing an amazing business he used to make atleast 20 cups every half an hour
and going by his asking price of Rs.2-00 per cup he making an Rs.80-00 per hour
and per day Rs.800-00 and Rs.24000-00 every month,expenses/investment put
togather and he still make cool 12000-00 and still be the owner,when I asked
about the market recession and how is his business still doing ok?
fast comes the reply "sir,I am very simple man,I would not know what you are talking
about,will you stop drinking tea?in fact you drink more while you are under tension
and believe me this will be more economy that having an cup of RC or Teachers"

He goes on to add more" many a times I see a good english speaking gentleman come
here for a drink,and while talking on his cell,one can make out he is not in
mood,but still he will order one more drink" looking at us and pointing our cup
he says"now you tell me in what will your market's recession will effect me,you have
to simply adjust maad bittu hogta irbeku" and goes to make one more tea for new customer.

I felt little relieved thinking My problem is not that bothering after all,at least I have an
running business and still going,so just take life as it comes and majja maadi.
